Stylist - Sensational Hair, Brora

We are looking to recruit an experienced stylist for our new Brora salon. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years hairdressing experience and an SVQ level 2 qualification, or equivalent. We are offering an excellent package and opportunity for the right candidate including extensive professional development. The right candidate will have good basic hairdressing experience, they will be highly motivated and have the desire to develop to be a top stylist. They will have a passion for hairdressing and excellent interpersonal skills, they must be a team player but confident to work independently. They must be prepared to undertake additional training and ongoing professional development.

Duties will include stylist duties, developing own clientele, while supporting other stylists to work as part of a proactive team in cutting, colouring, blow drying, setting, perming, hair ups and other services as demanded by clients. You must be happy to work on both ladies' and gent's hair.

Future opportunities may include involvement in teaching and salon education, competition hairdressing and hairdressing shows.

Modern Apprentice - Sensational Hair, Tain

We are looking to recruit a modern apprentice for the Tain salon. This is a full time position with full and comprehensive training provided. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive quality hairdressing team, working with high level professionals. The right candidate will be highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills. No specific experience or qualifications required but customer care experience would be an advantage.

Duties would include greeting and looking after clients, taking appointments and payments, shampooing and removing colours , sweeping, cleaning and making tea and coffee to support the stylists while learning hairdressing skills - cutting, colouring, blow drying, setting, perming, hair ups and how to deliver exceptional customer care. You would also be required to work on models to undertake training and assessments, to undertake research and reading and complete the necessary paperwork to complete training. and gain qualification.

To lead to a junior stylist position in the salon on successful completion of training and qualification.

Saturday Assistant - Sensational Hair, Tain

We are looking to recruit an assistant to support stylists in the salon on Saturdays. This position would suit school pupil looking to develop a career in hairdressing. Saturdays with possible additional hours during school holidays. Full training given, may lead to modern apprenticeship. The right candidate will have good interpersonal skills and an interest in hairdressing. No formal experience or qualifiications are required but customer care experience would be an advantage.
